In the city to get bail bonds Miami bondsmen almost always charge 10% of the bond amount. This is typical across all Miami Dade County bail bonds.
One very important thing to know about Miami bail bonds is that they can be avoided by several means:
Pretrial Services (PTS) is a local county agency that releases persons, free of charge before their trial if the defendant then promise to appear for court.
The Dade County bail bonds courts can use Pretrial Release (PTR) and perform a Release Own Recognizance (ROR). This is basically a signature bond or a recognizance bond (R.O.R.). Basically a recognizance bond is allowed for defendants who do not pose a risk to the community and either have no criminal history or are charged with a lessor felony. The advantage is that you do not need to post any money. You just have to promise that you will make all your court appointments.
The Dade County jail can perform Promised To Appear (PTA) releases.
Police agencies in this jurisdiction can also perform street citation releases.
Many areas do not allow this, or are at least more restrictive in how these are used.
After posting the bail bonds Miami defendants can be released at any time. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
